Thanks to Shane Howard (sung by John Farnham) for today’s blog title.

There’s been plenty happening in the country music scene of late. Anyone who is anyone has been releasing albums, singles and associated video clips and working on new albums.

I’m hoping to start featuring a video clip of the week on this, my home on the Internet. This week, because I haven’t featured any yet, there are a few favourites that have been released lately. First up is Troy Cassar-Daley’s latest offering, Home: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGvho7yj8lM&feature=player_embedded. There is nothing I don’t love about Troy and this clip is sure to appeal to fans of good music (of any genre) and those who love to look back at childhood pics of singers, with Troy showing us how cute he looked in a cowboy hat that was nearly bigger than he was.

I’m also really, really loving Emerson Drive’s latest, She’s My Kind of Crazy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtQ7TXvZOPI.

This is nearly as far removed from Troy’s clip as you can get as it was filmed on the streets of Las Vegas on top of a bus! I just love this Canadian group who have shown their love for Australia by getting over here when they can. We just hope they come back soon.

Had the great fortune to speak to Joe Nichols last week so look for the full story to be featured here in coming days. Until then, ‘like’ Country News Snippets on Facebook for short updates.
